“You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven. – Matthew 5:14,16 AMP
I don’t know about you but for me something feels different about this week. It’s almost as if the air feels lighter, maybe because winter is coming to an end. Just like seasons change the seasons in our lives change as well.
At some stage during your life you go through a winter season where you face trials after trials, you struggle to hear God’s voice and even to stay focused on His promises. I recently went through a winter season and believe that it is nearing to an end, I received a lot of promises from God during this season, it really helped me to stay close to Him.
God wants us to stay faithful to Him during all seasons, including the ones that test us, we still need to shine our lights in the darkness. Even if it is in our own darkness. We should always remain the same “city on a hill” no matter the circumstance. Someone is always watching you waiting for you to fail, don’t give the enemy the satisfaction.
Trials are there to test and prune us, at the end of it you come out more refined and brighter.
